Leros Marina

Leros Marina was opened in 1989, after the acquisition of the rocky land overlooking beautiful Lakki harbor On this private area opposite the main port of Lakki, a new yacht harbor was created. It was the first Marina and storage ashore in South East Aegean Greek waters.

Leros is part of the Dodecanese islands, which is a wonderful cruising destination for sailors from around the globe.

Leros Marina is located at the safest part of Lakki bay, which provides shelter from all the winds, including the ferocious S.E. Sirocco (or “Evros” in Greek). If you want to have a memorable journey in a popular cruising area in the South Aegean Sea, you are at the right spot.

The marina has great protection. A 50 m. cliff, provides good shelter from the occasionally strong local winds and a long curved harbor wall (500 m lenght, 20 m width and 2,70m high from sea surface), provides complete shelter for the boats.

The marina is also suitable for mega yachts. A new external quay on the south side of the marina can accommodate all kinds of vessels up to 50 meters.

A private fenced area of 50.000 m2, has been turned into a modern marina with up to 220 berths and 9 floating pontoons, all equipped with mooring lines, electricity and water. There is a fully equipped boatyard with a capacity of 600 boats on the dry-dock. Three cranes of 160T, 120T and 50T and a new 30T self-propelled trailer carries all boats, organizing and docking the boats on the hard.

Leros Marina has a strict policy for the collection and management of waste and holds one of the few government approved plans for oil spill contingency. The marina has been awarded with the Blue Flag for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 for environmental protection.
