D-Marin Lefkas
Lefkas Marina is at the heart of Lefkas Town. The historic centre of the island and the town’s shopping area are within a short walking distance from the marina. Because the island is connected to the mainland with a small bridge, the geographical location of Lefkas Marina can be a great advantage. Lefkas Marina provides 620 berths for yachts up to 45 m long and with 4 m draft. Electricity (220 V and 380 V) as well as fresh water is available at all berths. With permanent laid-in moorings, the safety of moored boats is guaranteed.
Sightseeing: Lefkas is a group of 24 islands with breath taking turquoise waters and endless, white sandy beaches, scattered mainly along the west coast. Among those, Porto Katsiki is considered to be one of the finest beaches in whole Europe. Kathisma beach, lying on the west coast of the island is also one of the most famous beaches in the area, charming all guests with a long stretch of sand and crystal clear blue waters. To make the most of this special area, you must also visit the dazzling Egremni beach.
With their scenic anchorages and sandy bays, the green Prinkipo islands lie on the eastern side. This is where you can find Onassis' island; Skorpios and the home of the great poet Aristoteles Valaoritis; Madouri.
On the small islets of Meganisi, you can enjoy the fine beaches of Kastos and Kalamos and other charming traditional villages.
In the same area, the great bay of Vlichos cuts deep into the shoreline, forming a perfectly sheltered natural harbor. This harbor welcomes all sailing enthusiasts cruising the Ionian Islands. Vlichos peninsula, a lush gren piece of land, covers the beach and then makes a curve opposite Nidri. As you cruise along this line, you must not miss the phenomenal deep bay at Sivota, which is almost like a fjord.
Gira is one of Lefkas’ most important natural beauties. It is a 7 km long, narrow strip of white sand forming a lagoon in the north of the island, which starts from right behind the fortress of Santa Maura and reaches out to the Ammoglossa (Tongue of Sand).
